Clover Hill is getting a major facelift. The area is being transformed into an event location, perfect for weddings, corporate events, and other one-of-a-kind celebrations. The historic house itself needs extensive renovations which will be in the works for several years.
Our plans undoubtedly necessitate some changes, but more importantly, they necessitate that many, many things remain unchanged. The wide open spaces, the views, the tranquility. The sense of community and collaboration, of people working together towards a common purpose. A focus on preserving the stories of the past. We are proud to be part of such a community and are determined to use our space and influence to strengthen it. Our vision is to become a gathering place: for people, for business, and for education.
Beginning in 2020, we hope to make the area around Clover Hill available as a venue. There is ample parking, a gravel pad for tents, tranquil shaded lawns, one building with climate control, and views that will knock your socks off….if you wear socks. Otherwise, they’ll simply take your breath away. Which is also pretty great.
Think of Clover Hill as a beautiful backdrop, one provided by nature that can enhance the vision of your event, no matter what that vision entails. If you need help bringing your vision to life, we will have a list of preferred vendors. From comprehensive event planning to a little help for the DIYers out there, these vendors will offer a variety of services to fit every situation. Have a question or want to inquire about events at Eldon Farms?
This is a space dedicated to sharing information about our upcoming events that are open to the public. So much of this is still a work in progress, but we are excited to announce that we plan to revive the Woodville Picnic tradition, and are hosting a festival this fall that honors John Jackson, a world-renowned Piedmont Blues musician who was born right here in Rappahannock County, VA. For more information about the festival, visit our John Jackson page here. More information regarding the picnic will be sent to Woodville residents who are nearby neighbors to Eldon Farms.
Plans for fall photo sessions are in the works. Some details are still on the drawing board, but we can tell you that they will be like no other photo session you have ever experienced. Think short, relaxed portrait session followed by a nature scavenger hunt. And somewhere in there, an opportunity to change clothes (because there are moms among us who understand these things) and even a Dad Portrait Survival Box (because there are also dads among us who understand these things). If you'd like more information, please reach out to us through our contact page.
